Visual Arts Outreach

Looking for a unique and fun activity for your group or organization? The Ashtabula Arts Center now offers Art a La Carte: a selection of art parties that can be customized to your group’s needs. You plan the party and bring the refreshments; we provide an experienced instructor and art supplies. Parties can be held at the arts center when available, or the instructor can come to you! (Please note that birthday parties will be held at your arranged location; the arts center only provides the art instruction and supplies.) Prices range from $15-$25 per person, with a minimum of 10 people.

Parties for Adults/Teens

Painting – $25 per person
Use acrylic paint on canvas to create your own personal masterpiece. Our experienced art instructor will walk you and your group step-by-step through a beautiful painting.

Paint a Wine Glass – $15 per person (adults only; you provide drinks)
Adorn a wine glass with a design in colorful glass enamels. After proper curing, these will be dishwasher safe and permanent.

Henna – $25 per person
Try this exquisite, semi-permanent body art on hands and arms.

Painted Pottery Tile – $20 per person
Enjoy this activity on-site at the arts center. You’ll stamp or paint an image or design on tile, which will then be kiln-fired by the instructor.

Jewelry – $25 per person
Use beading or wire-wrapping techniques to create a piece of wearable art.

Parties for Kids

Painting – $20 per person
Use bright acrylics to create a painting customized for kids!

Tie-Dye T-shirts  – $20 per person
Get your group together on-site at the arts center, roll up your sleeves, and add some color to your closet! (If you’re interested in having a Tie-Dye Party at a different location, contact Linda Merchant to find out what you’ll need at your party site to tie-dye.)
