We offer summer day camps in visual arts, theater, music, and dance for students in preschool through high school. Register here or call (440) 964-3396.

Wizard Art Camp

for grades 1-6
with Nancy Nelson-Brotz
Monday- Friday, June 10-14
10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
$115 camp fee, $25 materials fee
Maximum of 15 students
Get sorted into your houses, create your wands, and get ready for all manner of magical classes and imaginative projects! Earn (or lose) points for the House Cup! Campers should bring a white t-shirt, pillowcase, or socks (100% cotton is best) to tie dye with their house colors on Thursday. Please bring a snack and water every day, and dress for a mess!

 

Circus Art Camp

Trash-to-Treasure Upcycling Art Camp

for grades 1 & up

$115 camp fee, $25 materials fee
Maximum of 15 students
Upcycled art is a creative, out-of-the-box way to use materials and objects that might otherwise have ended up in a landfill. In this camp, students will use everyday items to bind books, collage, make picture frames, and more!

Imagination Drama Camp

for ages 3-5

$40 (or $36 for donors)
Let your little one’s imagination run wild! This class is based around playing pretend and using your imagination in the theatre! We will create and tell stories as we explore the world of acting.

Extra Messy Preschool Art Camp

for ages 3-5
with Nancy Nelson-Brotz
Monday-Friday, June 24-28
2-2:45 p.m.
$45 camp fee, $20 materials fee
Maximum of 10 students
We’ll be painting with splat balls, frozen paint, sidewalk paint, and more! This will be a process-based camp with lots of messy experimentation. Students should bring a white, 100% cotton t-shirt for ice dyeing (please write the student’s name on the tag.)

 

Ocean Art Camp

for grades K-4

Monday-Friday, July 1-5 – no camp on July 4
2-4 p.m.
$85 camp fee, $20 materials fee
Maximum of 15 students
We’ll create 2D & 3D art inspired by the ocean and the waters of the world! Students should bring a white, 100%-cotton t-shirt to tie-dye. Dress for a mess!

Acting & Dancing in Musical Theater Camp

for ages 9-15

July 8-12
noon-2 p.m.
$80 (or $72 for donors)
This five-day camp will include learning a scene, a song and the choreography for the song. We will work on this scene and song for four days and then hold a family performance on Friday, July 12 at noon. We will learn how a director decides what to have the actors do to make the scene work best, and work on understanding how important making a transition from dialogue to song is. We’ll also learn to techniques to learn choreography quickly and make it look good, even when you are not a dancer. Actors with some experience will benefit most from this one-week camp.

Fiber Arts Camp

for grades 4-9

Maximum of 15 students
Explore different fiber arts including dyeing, needle felting, and weaving. Students should bring a white, 100% cotton article of clothing to dye.

Fairytale Prince and Princess Dance Camp

for ages 5 & up
July 15 – 19 with Emma Van Norman OR July 22 – 26 with Violet LaSalle

$50 (including souvenir cape)
Have a simply magical time learning to dance in our Fairytale-themed dance camp! Students will explore movement and music inspired by popular fairy tales while learning basic dance vocabulary and engaging in imaganitive play. Dance games, activities, crafts, and choreography will let students bring their favorite prince or princess to life. On the last day of class, we’ll walk in a parade, and students will don their very own crowns and capes!

Pop Star Camp

for ages 7-9

July 15-19
10:30 a.m.-noon
$60 (or $54 for donors)
During this one week camp students will learn vocals and choreography for 2 or more current pop favorites. The students will be able to sing, dance, have a blast while showing off their inner divas! There will be a culminating performance on Friday, July 19 at 11:30 a.m. on the lawn of Straw Hat Theatre. Bring your lawn chairs, snacks, and picnic blankets and enjoy the campers’ time to shine!

When You Wish Camp

for ages 3-5

10:30-11 a.m.
$40 (or $36 for donors)
Calling all tiny princes and princesses! Students will learn a whimsical song with some movement to perform for family and friends during a final performance on Friday, July 26 at 11 a.m. Bring your lawn chairs, snacks, and picnic blankets and enjoy the campers time to shine!

K-3 Art Camp

for grades K-3

Maximum of 15 students
This camp balances technical instruction with freedom of self-expression. Students learn to embrace their curiosity and individuality as they develop artistic skill. We’ll explore and practice drawing, painting, and printmaking. Bring a white, 100%-cotton t-shirt to tie-dye on Thursday. Students should bring snacks and water.

4-8 Art Camp

for grades 4-8

9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Maximum of 15 students
Learn to take you artistic skills to the next level as you spend four hours each day creating art. Learn techniques to improve your skills and hone your creative vision in an encouraging, hands-on environment. Bring a white, 100%-cotton t-shirt, pillowcase, or socks to tie-dye on Thursday. Students should bring snacks and water every day.
