Alex is excited to make his debut on the Straw Hat and AAC stage. He's previously done tech for Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief and has been part of the Thompson Square Community Theatre (TSCT) since 2016 with some favorite roles such as Peter in Peter Pan and his current role Frank Churchill in Emma. Alex would like to thank Bob for the opportunity to be in this show and hopes to work with everyone at AAC again in the future.

Kamden is ready to break through with his first ever show. He has practiced writing in the past and was inspired to join the AAC theatre after he read through The Crucible in school. Kamden would like to thank his fellow cast for secondhandedly showing him technique through their roles. He hopes to act again next fall and to continue to work with AAC across many productions

Loralei is excited to act as Tilly in this wildly exciting play that explores the world of Dungeons and Dragons. She is an 8th grader at Lakeside. This is her first show on the Straw Hat stage! She has previously been in High School Musical Jr. as Gabriella and Peter and the Starcatcher as Molly at the AAC. She would like to thank Bob, Jocelyn, and Rachel for all their hard work. She would also like to thank Stacy Stevenson and her parents for driving her to and from rehearsal. Enjoy the show!

Spencer cannot wait to perform for you! Returning back home after two semesters at college, this eager entertainer is certainly familiar with the Straw Hat stage, playing Grover in Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief and having a blast with friends as an ensemble member of Bye Bye Birdie. Spencer wants to tell you, “This show may have a smaller cast, but it’s big where it counts.”

Molly is an upcoming senior in high school. She Kills Monsters marks her community theater debut, and she has had an incredible time bringing this production to life. Her former roles include Jo in Little Women, Alice Beineke in Addams Family, and Lily-Belle Savage in The Curious Savage, as well as many more. Outside of theater, Molly is Madison High School’s Drum Major and enjoys working with the children at her church. She would like to thank her mom and dad, as well as her sister, Abbie, for their constant love and support. She also extends a special thank you to Gabe for always encouraging her and to Loralei for being the little sister she never had. Molly hopes you enjoy the show!

Aubrey is an upcoming senior at Perry High School where she is involved in choir and theatre. Aubrey was recently in Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief on the Straw Hat stage and performed as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde at PHS. Enjoy the show!

Eva is a junior at Geneva High School where she participates in choir, theatre, and varsity cheerleading. Eva was recently in Romeo and Juliet as Juliet on the Straw Hat stage,and she appeared in Alice By Heart as Cheshire Cat/Tabatha at GHS. Enjoy the show!

Cadence is happy to be a part of this experience! She's a senior at Mentor High School and has always loved acting; she hopes to inspire others as well. She has done a few shows: however, this one has given her much more experience and wonderful memories. She hopes you enjoy the show because she knows she will!

Enoch is excited to be part of this show. She’s a junior at Madison High School who loves to help and be a part of the crew there too. She previously helped with Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief last year for crew at AAC. She hopes you enjoy watching the show because working on it has been a wonderful experience.

Brandon is an aging dork that's absolutely thrilled to be a part of this show! He's played D&D in some form for about a decade and a half. He even helped playtest D&D 5e at Gencon in 2012. Brandon is a frequent flyer at the Ashtabula Arts Center, having recently portrayed roles in Batboy: the Musical and Rent. Get ready to roll for initiative!

Frankie is excited to be a part of the upcoming play, She Kills Monsters, helping backstage as crew. Being a junior, Frankie hasworked on many plays. including Little Women, Addam’s Family, Legally Blonde, and The Curious Savage. Frankie’s favorite thing about acting in these shows has been working with the cast and crew around her.

Julianna is going to be a senior at Lakeside High School this year! She has performed in many shows you may have seen such as Hadestown. playing the role of Hermes, or in the ensemble of Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief . She would like to thank Tank and her father for always giving her the constructive criticism she needs and Jocelyn and Bob for letting her portray the characters in her own vision. Juliana has had a fantastic time with the cast, crew, and show as a whole, and she hopes you have a great time joining in this crazy adventure!!

Andrew is an upcoming sophomore at Saint John School where he is involved in theatre. His most notable roles are Sheldon Potts in Junie B. Jones at his school and Ted in Peter and the Starcatcher here at the Ashtabula Arts Center. He would like to thank all his friends for motivation during this show (and Aubrey for helping write this). Enjoy the show!

Jonathan is a high school senior. He is excited to play as multiple monsters in he Kills Monsters. Previously he has had roles at Madison High School such as Pugsley In Addams Family. During his free time, he plays the trumpet, frequently plays games, and watches Formula One racing.

Bob is a familiar face at AAC. He has both acted and directed here since 1999. She Kills Monsters is his first time directing a Straw Hat show. He has enjoyed working with this talented cast and appreciated the opportunity to work with Spencer and Jocelyn, making this truly a family affair. He wants to thank everyone who has made this production one of his favorites. "Everyone has worked so very hard to make this thing come to life."

Jocelyn is thrilled to be returning to her role as ADSM after a long hiatus. In the interim, she has been teaching drama and English at Madison High School as well as directing their Fall Plays. She also has been known to tread the boards herself from time to time. Her favorite shows that she’s worked on include The Laramie Project as director, Little Women as adult Josephine March, and The Sound of Music as ADSM. She Kills Monster is a spectacular show with an amazing group of artists bringing it all together! Enjoy!

Marti is proud to be involved in this production. Her favorite directing credits include The Trials of Anastasia (RFTM) and The Rocky Horror Show (AAC). Among her favorite roles are Mrs. McCormack in Footloose (AAC) and Margaret the Drunk in 9 to 5 (AAC). She wishes to thank Bob and Jocelyn for the opportunity and her new young thespian friends for their dedication to this show.

Sarah is the lighting designer for this production and is so grateful to be able to take part in this adventure! She has designed many productions over the years here at the AAC, Conneaut Area City Schools, and at a wedding at the Cleveland Zoo as a freelance designer. She is thankful for her lighting design professor Dave Stoughton for teaching her all she knows, her boyfriend Tyler for being her biggest supporter, and for the cast and creative team for trusting her artistic vision for this show. Let’s roll for initiative!

Rachel has a Bachelor of Arts in both fashion design and fashion merchandising from Ursuline College. Her focus in visual art is costume design. Rachel has been a costumer at the Ashtabula Arts Center since January of 2023. A few of the previous shows she has costumed include Footloose, Young Frankenstein, Mary Poppins, Rent, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Bat Boy. She Kills Monsters is her first show under the direction of Bob Kilpatrick, and she sends her deepest gratitude for such an exciting experience. Rachel would also like to thank her friends and family as well as an extra special thank you to Sophie Fleming and Erik Katko for their time and expertise to help her create the costumes and monsters for this production!

Stacy has been volunteering, acting and showing up on stages across Northeast Ohio for the past several years. Sometimes, she was actually supposed to be there! Some of her favorite roles have included Dorothy in Stepping Out, Dr. Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace and Poppy in Noises Off! Assisting the dynamic Kilpatrick team in bringing She Kills Monsters to stage has been a true adventure. Seeing the talented, young cast bring the characters to life has been amazing.
