Theater Outreach

The Ashtabula Arts Center has partnered with After School Discovery and Ashtabula Area City Schools to offer musical theater production experiences to local students in their intermediate schools. Students who might not ordinarily participate in theater programming at the Arts Center learn and rehearse roles, music, blocking and choreography, culminating in a full production for their families. Productions are held on the G.B. main stage at the Arts Center with full technical support. The goal of this program is to give children who don’t have transportation to the Arts Center an opportunity to participate in theater, and to provide them with exposure to theater performance opportunities earlier than they may encounter at school.
