“Hello! I am Sarah Harrigan! An 18 y/o senior at Riverside High School, aspiring to go into the Creative Writing field at John Carroll University. At our high school, we are given the opportunity to formulate a senior project based on our interests. Therefore, I have decided to work with my community sponsor, the Ashtabula Arts Center– a non-profit, multi arts organization that prides themselves in striving for advocacy and collaboration within communities.
I will be facilitating a 2-Week Writing Workshop just for teens, ages 14-18, focusing on the following:
1. Uplifting the voices of a diverse group of teenagers
2. Inspire others to share their poetry and prose to other teenagers
3. Foster a supportive community of teenagers who elevate each other and their stories
4. Offer constructive critique respectfully to others, while taking critique to amplify the messages of your poetry and prose
5. Formulate, edit, and “publish” a chapbook as a tangible final product to (if everyone consents), sell in order to fund the Ashtabula Arts Center.
This Writers Workshop will be a hybrid class (meaning you can go to AAC or simply join a zoom call). The workshop will be held from 5PM-6PM on the following dates:
Join by May 1st! After joining, you’ll be invited to the Google Classroom for collaboration and meetings. Hope to see you there to be part of the art, (and the writing)!”

Payment is expected at the time of registration unless otherwise noted, and can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Platform fees will apply to all transactions. Members receive a discounted rate. Materials fees, model fees, and some other fees are excluded from this discount.
Registration
Registration is required. A minimum number of students is needed to hold a class. When necessary, a class start date may be postponed a week or a class may be cancelled 24 hours prior to the starting time. Classes and lessons are open to all, regardless of race, sex, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or national origin. There will be an extra $5 fee for visual arts class/workshop registrations made within 24 hrs of the class beginning. Please register as early as possible so instructors can make sure they have enough materials purchased and prepared. Last-minute registration can result in a shortage of materials for students.

If you drop a class after this deadline, but before the second meeting of the class, you will receive a refund for 75% of your tuition. There will be no refunds after the second class meeting
Financial aid is available for eligible students. FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION Rev. 1115 may be downloaded or obtained at the front desk and must be filled out and returned no later than one week prior to the start date of the class.
