Mixed Media Afterschool Art Club
for grades 1-6

Students will explore a variety of media in art-making and learn the fundamental skills involved in using different materials, including oil and chalk pastels, painting, watercolor, colored pencil, and more.

Mom & Me Art
for ages 2-5

No charge for parent/guardian
Little ones have fun while developing the fine & gross motor skills essential for starting school. All students must be accompanied to all classes by a parent/guardian. Dress for a mess!

Homeschool Intro to Ceramics
for grades 1-8

We’ll work on beginner ceramic techniques while learning about the importance of ceramics to cultures throughout history.

TUESDAY

Drawing Foundations
for grades 1 & up

Learn the foundational pencil and charcoal skills necessary for all art. We’ll begin with basic shapes and forms, then move on to more complex creations.

3-D Art Exploration
for grades 1 & up

We’ll create three-dimensional art like robots, masks, and abstract sculpture using a variety of materials.

Claytivity
for grades K-3
with Sandy Rill

Students will work on a series of projects that incorporate the basics of hand building in clay, using their own creative ideas. Projects will be bisque-fired and glazed to create permanent works of art.

Explore the world of painting while learning tips and tricks for creating awesome art!

The Art of Manga

Learn how to rough out a character, refine, and finally create finished art. We’ll start with pencils and add markers and marker paper as the class progresses.

As a start to a lifelong love of music, children will sing songs, play musical games, and more as we work to develop listening, social, and pre-reading skills.

Preschool Art Expression with Nancy Mitchell
Fridays, 10:05-10:45 a.m.
Children will explore the tools and materials used in making art, learning to make connections between their projects and stories, ideas, and the seasons. We’ll create with paint, paper, scissors, glue, and lots of other fun materials, learning about the proper care and use of materials. Dress for a mess!

Preschool Drama with Kimberly Godfrey

This class focuses on using movement and imagination, and working with others. We will create and tell stories as we explore the world of acting.

These lessons will teach basic art concepts such as color theory, drawing, painting, and mixed media. Students will be exposed to examples from art history and will develop an expanded visual vocabulary. They will learn about techniques and materials used in a traditional classroom setting, while interacting with their fellow home-schooled peers. New students always welcome!
