Amaris LaSalle

Dance

Amaris LaSalle is a Ballet Theatre Ashtabula alum and has been a faculty member since 2019.  She has studied with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago where she had the privilege of working with Rena Butler (Nat’l Ballet of Canada, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Gibney), Alicia Delgadillo (Charlotte Ballet, Hubbard Street), Alysia Johnson (Juilliard, Hubbard Street, Jacob’s Pillow), and Kevin Shannon (Juilliard, Hubbard Street), and was awarded a scholarship to Mercyhurst University’s summer intensive.  Amaris has enjoyed teaching and rehearsal directing as well as choreographing for BTA’s Spring Dance Concert.  Her choreography has been performed at Playhouse Square for DanceCleveland, the LaSalle Theater for Cleveland Dance Festival, and for the All Ohio Dance Festival, as well as Ashtabula’s Wine and Walleye festival.  Amaris is a scholarship recipient as a Dance Minor at Ohio Northern University, and is the Vice President of her fraternity chapter Zeta Tau Alpha, as well as the Secretary for her campus organization of the Professional  Association of Women in Science.
