Marvelous Music, Memories, and Milestones: the Good Life Singers’ 50th Anniversary Concert
In May 1976 Ellie Palmer asked Mary Redmond if she would be willing to direct a chorus if Ellie could get a group of people together just for the love of singing. Mary agreed and made arrangements with the Arts Center for rehearsal space. Thus, Ellie’s dream came true and the Good Life was born. The Good Life performed its first concert at Kent Outdoor Concerts in August 1976. The Good Life wishes to dedicate our 50th Anniversary concert to the memory of both Ellie Palmer and Mary Redmond for their love and dedication to the group throughout many years and to all the members who have shared their love of singing within the group during the years. A special honor to the Ashtabula Arts Center which has been home to The Good Life since its origin and we are proud and grateful to be part of it.
