The Good Life honors veterans and ushers in the holidays with “Songs of Peace”

The Good Life 2016

The Good Life will be presenting “Songs of Peace” at the Ashtabula Arts Center on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 13 at 2 p.m.  To commemorate our veterans, an honor guard will begin the concert with songs popular during wartime such as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” The program will transition into Thanksgiving and Christmas music, featuring many old favorites like “Over the River,” “Christmas in a Small Town,” and “Anthem for World Peace.”

Tickets are available through the arts center for $9 each, or for $7 through members of the Good Life.  Veterans receive a special $2 discount off tickets. Good Life member Susan Deak notes, “The price of a ticket includes over an hour of entertainment followed by an abundant table of goodies made by the members of the Good Life. Who could ask for anything more?”
