“Chris Raab’s Quarter Mile” July 1-27

“Chris Raab’s Quarter Mile” July 1-27

Runs: Mar 5, 2018

Artist’s Reception: Fri., July 8, 6-8 p.m.

Chris Raab is a self-taught artist who has worked with mediums ranging from acrylics and inkpen to spray paint and tattoo art. This exhibit is comprised of paintings and mixed-media pieces captured and created entirely within a quarter mile of Raab’s home in the Ashtabula Harbor district, a location he confines himself to more often than not, as he lives with severe anxiety that limits his travel. His work captures a microcosm, featuring, among other subjects, the architecture and storefronts of Bridge Street, the metal and lights of the lift bridge, all set against the sky over Lake Erie and the waters of the Ashtabula River.
