“As a graduate in illustration, I have always been a believer in realism. In working on my master’s, I was encouraged to do a series of work using my own style of impressions. I have continued to work on developing this series with a full range of techniques using acrylic media, from brush to air brush to paint knife. I try to illustrate the real with use of abstract shapes of color and transparency for the viewer to ponder, hence I call it ‘realistic impressionism.'”
An artist’s reception will be held on Friday, July 10, 6-8 p.m.
