The 4th Annual heART of Geauga Arts Jam 2016 will feature artists from across Northeast Ohio will gather to help all express their creativity and artistic expression. There will be many opportunities for people who attend to try their hand at many different art forms. Examples include an instrument petting zoo (provided by Geauga Music), Tech Art which lets participants put their own robot together and create a piece of art (provided by Steven Guttierez), creating your own stuffed animals at C.M. Manfredi’s Emporium of Wonders, and Zentangle, which is an easy-to-learn method of creating beautiful abstract images from repetitive patterns. If you choose not to participate, that’s okay too! There will be live bands playing throughout Chardon Square the entire day, so come and enjoy the music! Bands scheduled to perform this year include Shivering Timbers, Steve Madewell, and Tom Evanchuck. This year’s theme revolves around Shakespearian times and reenactors from the Ohio Renaissance Festival will be interacting with families all day long.
The Arts Jam will be held on and around Chardon Square in Geauga County on June 25, 2016 from 12 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., and will conclude with a 7:30 p.m. performance of Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy, Twelfth Night The Arts Jam event is free for all and tickets for Twelfth Night may be purchased at www.geaugatheater.org.
